On the 8th and 9th of September, Peasholm Park in Scarborough was transformed into the venue for the yearly ‘Acoustic Gathering’. Unlike other years this ran over two days, and if you saw my previous post you’ll know that Saturday was headlined by ‘The Lightning Seeds’.
Here you’ll find some of the best photos from the Sunday, which was jam packed with local and national musicians, kids activities and great food and drink.
Back in June I had the pleasure of photographing the first Future of Music Festival up on Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough. The aim of the festival was to showcase and celebrate some of the finest original music around the area such as Everyone an Army, La Petite Mort, 3 Foot Ninja and loads of others. The headliners for Saturday night were Hope & Social, and to bring the Festival to a close there was Edwina Hayes. The festival also had various other bits and bobs too including story telling, face painting, comedy, Reiki, magic…
The weekend was a great for the first year, and I can really see this building up over the years to one of the best music events Scarborough has to offer. With a decent sized stage, great sound and lots of beer the only thing letting it down was the weather. But isn’t that what music festivals are all about?
