Photos taken from the recent music workshop at The Shed Sessions event in Scarborough. This time it was focused on percussion and bass, so organisers got two great musicians up from london, Wretch32′s Bass player Steve Mckenzie also drummer Steven Gaman to help explain their methods and talk a little about their work.
It was my first New Years Day as an official Scarborough resident, so I couldn’t resist a wonder down to the beach to see this lot brave the cold North Sea. The Scarborough Lions hosted the event with approximately 80 people taking the plunge for various charities. It was nice to bump into Heather from Ellie’s Fund, which reminded I’m me to do a parachute jump next, wait, this year.
A couple of months back a few guys asked me if I would like the help out with a new event in Scarborough, with the idea to bring rock and indie music every week with one live event some time in the month. Of course, I agreed. There has been a big lul in this town for rock & indie gigs and I’m more than willing to help bring this back.
So, if you’re around Scarborough on a Friday night head over to Sigma, just under The Cask on South Cliff for a night of quality rock and indie music. You can find more information here on upcoming events and gigs.
These photos are from the opening night. Big thanks to everyone that showed up!
